Although donuts were not originally in my plan for the day, I found out via social media that it’s National Donut Day!

Now I do love some Krispy Kreme, especially when that hot light is on, but I wanted to combine
celebration and adventure to use this as an excuse to try a new (well, new to me) local place. It’s in a less familiar part of town to me, one with its own, not so good reputation, which
are two reasons I haven’t gone yet. The outside is pretty unassuming but in a kind of quaint way. Plus there were a ton of people at this place, which spoke to its popularity if not its quality.

There wasn’t much left donut-wise so I stuck to an original glazed, a sugar, and a chocolate iced. A place has to make a quality OG (that’s Original Glazed) donut to truly be considered quality in my book.

But they were all so good! This might have dethroned my former favorite donut place, though they’re about on par once convenience and selection is factored in.

This adventure and its post will have to be short today – I’m packing for my weekend adventure to Canada! The posts will hopefully be more exciting, albeit somewhat infrequent, BUT I’ll do my best to find wifi at a Timmy Ho 😉 so excited!

All of these things mean a good trip is on the way!
